Head of Corporate Communications

The Head of Corporate Communications will oversee all communications involving the organization including the development and implementation of a communications strategy and a broad and diverse range of business and marketing communications.

Duties

  • Develops and implements a communications strategy for the corporation that builds and maintains a positive corporate brand.
  • Oversees corporate communications and branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and industry magazines.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of the corporate website including methods to deliver message, ease of navigation, and clarity of information; ensures that all content is current and relevant.
  • Acts as corporate spokesperson and responds to members of the media in a timely manner; composes and distributes press releases as needed.
  • Develops and maintains positive professional relationships with various members of the media.
  • Assists executive leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.
  • Provides suggestions concerning graphics, clarity, distribution, and press releases to Finance and Accounting departments for preparation of the corporation’s annual report.
  • Develops, implements, and adheres to communications budget.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

    Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Multiple years of experience in public relations, including supervisory and comprehensive marketing experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for corporate and external publications.
  • Ability to offer sound media relations advice to senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Fund Accountant

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for preparing consolidated accounts and investor reporting for investment funds.

Duties

  • Manage stakeholder relationships covering various funds
  • Coordinate monthly Investor Reporting: partners’ capital accounts, investor reporting requests including assistance to clients on investors’ queries
  • Review/prepare management fee calculations and supporting schedules, investor allocations and capital account statements
  • Review/prepare capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations, and investor notices
  • Responsible for monthly management fee calculations, performance working papers for fund entities, special purpose vehicles and carry plans
  • Responsible for the quarterly and annual consolidated fund financial statements in accordingly
  • Work closely with the external and internal auditors during year-end reporting

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or other Accounting qualification
  • At least 3 years of accounting/finance experience, candidates coming from buyside, fund services or big 4 with fund exposure will be considered
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Scope: Conducting market research in the VC/startup scene and assisting the team in any of the projects.

Analyst

An exciting and varied position, the Analyst/ Associate will work out of the firm’s Kuala Lumpur office, supporting the Malaysian partners of this international investment management group. Motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who works on own initiative with light supervision. Confident and positive, high-energy, cultured, capable of easily interacting with senior management. Flexible and willing to get involved in many different aspects of the business as required.

Duties:

  • Perform market research to help identify new investment trends and opportunities
  • Deal screening: call and/or meet with prospects, evaluate opportunities
  • Documentation: summarize call notes, enter deals into CRM
  • Network with peers in other Venture Capital Firm
  • Perform Due Diligence
  • Gather information from the target company and industry experts
  • Research and talk to existing references and customers of the target company
  • Research potential competitors to the target company
  • Research and talk with technical/business consultants to evaluate the target company’s technology including IPs
  • Conduct background checks on the current management of the target company
  • Perform valuation analysis via modelling
  • Help preparing internal investment memos

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Degree/ MBA from a top overseas business school
  • 3-5 years of investment experience (VC/PE, investment banking, private equity)
  • Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong knowledge of Excel including advanced function
  • Experience with cash flow modeling and investment valuation techniques
  • Ability to produce well designed professional looking

  • Deal screening and sourcing: call and/or meet with prospects, independently evaluate opportunities and present to Investment Committee
  • Evaluate opportunities across different Southeast Asian markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Thailand
  • Perform market research to help identify new investment trends and opportunities
  • Documentation: summarize call notes, enter deals into CRM systems
  • Network with peers in other Venture Capital Firms, Institutional Investors, Regulators etc
  • Perform Due Diligence on target companies
  • Gather information from the target company and industry experts
  • Research and talk to existing references and customers of the target company
  • Research potential competitors to the target company
  • Research and talk with technical/business consultants to evaluate the target company’s technology including IPs
  • Conduct background checks on the current management of the target company
  • Perform valuation analysis via modelling
  • Help preparing internal investment memos for the Investment Committee
  • Cover the ASEAN market including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand etc.
  • Ongoing portfolio monitoring
