Tengku Ahmad Ridhwanuddin

A Tech Partner with RHL Ventures, Tengku Ahmad Ridhwanuddin is an expert in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Throughout his career of nearly 10 years, he has helped end users with technical consultation and solutions relating to apps that utilise GNSS, location-based services and digital infrastructure.

Prior to joining RHL, Ridhwanuddin worked with several companies and institutions in Australia and New Zealand. He began his career in 2010 at ThinkSpatial, Australia before joining GPSnet at the Department
of Sustainability and Environment in Victoria, Australia in 2012. Later in 2015, Ridhwanuddin joined Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies in New Zealand as a researcher, developer and data analyst.

He has also worked at the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRC-SI), Australia, as a
Satellite Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) Data Analyst. In that role, he conducted data validation and analysis for projects exploring the application and benefits of SBAS across nominated industry sectors in Australia and New Zealand.

Between 2011 and 2017, Ridhwanuddin was with the University of Melbourne’s Department of Infrastructure Engineering as a tutor and demonstrator; conducting classes, lectures and demonstrations for both undergraduates and master’s students.

Throughout his career, Ridhwanuddin has won several professional and academic accolades. Some of these include the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information 2016 award for Best Project (Blockchain Commercialisation Solvathon) and the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award – which required the completion of a year of volunteering, outdoor expeditions and skill-building programs.

He holds a PhD in GNSS Data Processing and a Bachelor of Geomatics Engineering (Honours); both from
the University of Melbourne, Australia. He completed his GCE A-Levels at Kolej Yayasan UEM, Malaysia.

Teng Chen Shun

Chen Shun is currently the Group Strategy & Corporate Affairs Manager of WWRC Group. WWRC Group is a Pan-Asian Chemical Distributor, with a presence in 16 Asian Cities. As Group Strategy Manager, Chen Shun is in charge of charting the future growth of the Group through overseas expansion, JV/partnerships and M&A.

Prior to joining WWRC Group, Chen Shun worked in banking at Citibank and OCBC. Chen Shun graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a First Class Honors Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Materials Engineering).

Ryan Loke

Ryan recently joined the team at RHL Ventures as an Analyst in 2018. He is responsible for screening and evaluating potential venture capital investment deals. Prior to joining RHL, Ryan had some experience in VC from his previous internship. Ryan is a graduate from The London School of Economics and Political Science with a degree in Actuarial Science.

Francesco Barrai

Francesco Barrai is Senior Vice President with DE Shaw – a global investment and technology development firm with more than USD40 billion in investment capital and possesses offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. He is responsible for Asia Pacific Equity Linked portfolio and is a Responsible officer for the firm’s Hong Kong office. Prior to the role, Francesco was the CEO of DE Shaw India and the Head of Brokerage, Proprietary Trading and New Business departments. Francesco has been with DE Shaw for the last 16 years.
He received his Masters of Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University, US and a Bachelor of Economics from Bocconi University, Italy.

Marlon Sanchez

Marlon Sanchez is Head of Global Prime Finance Distribution, Asia Pacific, at Deutsche Bank. Hestarted his career in 1994 at Morgan Stanley, working in debt capital markets origination where he initially focused on US and Euro medium-term notes for banks and corporates. He later moved to Hong Kong where he joined equity capital markets at Morgan Stanley in 1996, focusing on convertible bond origination. He started business school in 1998 at the Wharton School, where he graduated in May 2000 with an MBA and a specialisation in emerging capital markets.Marlon moved back to Hong Kong in 2002 and specialised in sales trading to hedge funds by tailoring his coverage efforts to the long/short, convertible arbitrage and risk arbitrage specialists at hedge funds within the Asian context. Later in 2006, he joined Deutsche Bank’s sales trading team, where he was responsible for mapping, servicing and tailoring the firm’s approach to absolute return accounts in Asia. Marlon’s responsibilities in account coverage diversified in 2008 to encompass the gamut of institutions active in the region. Marlon became Head of Sales Trading in 2009, responsible for regional sales trading and execution efforts in North Asia. He then moved from the execution business three years ago and is now responsible for global prime finance sales efforts in the Asia Pacific.

Datuk Seri Utama Raja Nong Chik

Datuk Seri Utama Raja Nong Chik is Chairman of Rasma Corporation, a leading mechanical and electrical contractor in Malaysia which has completed millions of dollars of public works projects for various government ministries and private sector clients. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a nationwide conglomerate and is currently venturing and expanding into the Malaysian rail and property development industries. Datuk Seri Utama Raja Nong Chik was born into a family of renowned and distinguished civil service officers. His grandfather, Dato’ Mustapha Albakri, was the Keeper of the Ruler’s Seal and the first Chairman of the Elections Commissions whereas his father, Dato’ Raja Zainal Abidin was the former Chief Secretary of the Health Ministry. In 2009, Datuk Seri Utama Raja Nong Chik was sworn in as a Senator in the Malaysian Upper House of Parliament and served as the Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing.His other previous ventures included founding OYL which was successfully listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1984. He also founded the brand ACSON, which is now a well-known air conditioner brand in Malaysia. His love for entrepreneurship has seen him being a member of the National Innovation Council of Malaysia, a committee member of the Selangor Federation of Malaysian manufacturers, President of the Bumiputera Manufacturers and Services Industry Association Malaysia as well as President to the Malay Mechanical Contractors Association Malaysia.

Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai

Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai is the Chairman and Founder of the Top Glove Group which, under his leadership, has become as the world’s largest glove manufacturer, capturing 25% of the global market share, producing up to 47 billion pairs of gloves yearly which exports to over 185 countries. He has received numerous awards as a testament to his success over the last 30 years including the prestigious Master and Country Entrepreneur of Malaysia for the Year, by Ernst and Young in 2004; Entrepreneur of the Year at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2008; The BrandLaureate Brand Icons Leadership Award in 2011; The BrandLaureate Manufacturer Man of the Year (2012 to 2013) and The Malaysian Leadership Excellence Award, by The Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) in 2016.Tan Sri Lim serves on the board of directors of Employee Provident Fund of Malaysia (EPF) under the Ministry of Finance and the board of University of Malaya under the Ministry of Education. He is a council member of the East Asia Business Council (EABC) since 2011. He also currently holds the roles of Honorary President of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce and Honorary Advisor of the Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

Keen King Yung

Keen King is an analyst at RHL Ventures joining the team in 2017. Prior to RHL Ventures, Keen King was working under Corporate Restructuring, Ernst & Young and was involved in distressed corporate advisory, receivership and liquidation projects. His experience in Corporate Restructuring revolves around the disposal of assets with management takeover and/or corporate turnaround exercises in the manufacturing, biotech and energy sector. Keen King holds a Master’s in Management and Strategy from London School of Economics with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from University College London.
